A List of Clothing Fashion Don’ts

There are plenty fashion rules that have circulated for centuries, and these days, the old rules will not cut it. Today, you need to forget about the old rules of not wearing white after labor day and saving all of your shimmer for the evening. If you want to learn how to dress your body well and look better everyday, try to avoid the following brand new fashion don'ts.

Do not think function over fashion. If your excuse for not wearing your body better is simply that you are dressing for the weather or you just want to be "comfortable," it is probably time for a change. Do not just by oversized clothing that is frumpy and totally not figure flattering because you want to be "comfortable." If you take your time and try things on you will find that well fitted clothing that is appropriate for your body type actually is quite comfortable. If you get the proper size and the proper style, you can look good, be shielded from the weather, and feel comfortable.

Do not use size numbers alone to determine whether or not your clothes will fit you. Every boutique, department store, and clothing shop is going to have sizes on their outfits. Your size will not be the same in all stores, so get over it. Sometimes, even though you might feel bad about it, the appropriate size for your body will mean looking for a higher number in some stores than in others. It is much better to buy a larger size and look good than to wear something that does not really fit you, and will make you look bigger. If your outfits are busting at the seams, you will look larger than you are.

The final do not is this: do not think that your appearance does not matter. You might say that you do not care what other people think. The reality is, however, that if you have certain career goals in mind and you do not look the part, you will not get the part. Everyone, even if they try to deny it, wants the respect of others, especially at work. Dress to look the best that you can look in appropriate clothing for your profession. Do not make excuses or sell yourself short of the opportunity to look put together to potential clients and potential employers.

The clothing that you put on your body says a lot about who you are. Let it match who you are inside. Let the world know that you respect yourself enough to dress well.

How To Start An Internet Marketing Business The Right Way

Running your own Internet Marketing business is really the best way to make money in the world. You get to set your own hours. You can work from almost anywhere in the world. All of your efforts go towards your business and your success, rather than a large corporation's. You write your own paycheck. And I do not know of any business in the world where the start-up costs are so low (often as low as the cost of a monthly website fee), or the knowledge barrier is so small (in other trades, it can take YEARS to learn the basics).

The "problem" (and I only say it's a problem because it seems to discourage so many people) is that you have to treat your business like a business. Anyone can make a few dollars here and there online. But to get the kind of thousands-of-dollars-a-month success that lets you quit your day job and buy a larger house, you're going to have to put in some work upfront.

To illustrate what I'm talking about, let's look at a normal job: you go to work for a specified number of hours, and get paid a certain amount for those hours. If you're salaried, you get a certain amount per month or year no matter how much you work. Hopefully, if you do a good job you get a raise. In either case, you're guaranteed to make a certain amount within a specified time-frame.

With an Internet marketing business (as with any business) you have to do some things upfront: you have to set up a website and a few other tools, you have to promote your site or service, etc. This can take a bit of time before you see profits. The reason an Internet marketing business is the way to go is because (if you're doing things correctly) when you DO see the profit, you're going to be seeing a lot more of it. And because everything is semi-automated (the order-taking, often the delivery of goods, etc.) your business requires a LOT less time later on to sustain than an hourly job.

It's a actually a bit like growing a tree. To grow a tree you have to:

– Learn how to care for the tree you want to grow.

– Spend a little cash up front for some seeds or a sapling.

– Find a good place to plant your seeds or sapling. Make sure it's fertile ground and out of the shade of larger trees.

– Care for your tree as it grows. Keep it watered and fed.

– THEN, when it's bigger, harvest the fruit.

– Do minor upkeep on tree, keep harvesting fruit, plant new trees.

It's the same process with an Internet marketing business. Your sapling / seed is your business plan. and your basic tools such as a website, a mailing list, etc. Hunting for a good spot is your market research. Fertilizer and water are your promotional methods. And just like a tree, once it's up and running it requires a lot less care.

I'm not telling you all of this to discourage you. I just want you to understand that overnight profits are rare, and you can not count on them or you'll end up frustrated. And even overnight profits require planning. But if you're willing to do some basic set-up work and have the ability to focus and take action, you'll see more money than you could dream of an hourly or salaried job. Plus, being able to sleep in when you want is nice, too.

The three magic steps to making it all happen are:

– Step One: Learn how an internet marketing business works.

– Step Two: Make a plan for your business based on solid market research.

– Step Three: Follow through with the plan, one step at a time.

Just remember: shift your mental focus from "money right now" to "longterm, increasingly-large profits." You must treat your Internet marketing business like a business to be successful. And remember, take things one step at a time.

Ezine Advertising Myths

The freedom of speech, the lack of education plus the others' herd instinct create some monsters … the myths. It is said "A fool throws a stone into a lake and twenty wise men can not stop the ripples."

Let's see what some ezine advertising "experts" discovered and many other followers spread everywhere they could …

1) Ezine Advertising Does not Work Anymore

Article marketing does not work. PPC does not work. Ezine advertising does not work. Actually for some people nothing works. You know why? They are busy spreading rumors instead of investing in their education.

Well, it's not our problem what other people are doing, but do you know what the real problem is? There is no one "up there" to force us to wear badges.

Whaaat? Badges?

For example, how nice would it be if an "I'm dumb" badge were added to someone who tries to drive with the tank of his brand new Mercedes empty? When that person will tell you, "Hey, those new cars are good for nothing", you'll take a look at his badge, say politely "I see …" and then you'll run away quickly without further telling all your friends the "bad" news you've just heard …

2) The Longer the Waiting Time, the Better the Ezine

If the waiting time for publishing your solo ad is long (over 4-6 weeks), you found a gem. If you read articles about advertising in ezines it's impossible to notice this "wonderful" idea.

Let me tell you something quickly …

During the last 6 months, the waiting time for solo ads to be published in my own "Ezine Advertising Info Newsletter" was at least 2 months. And you know what? My newsletter is NOT a gem. I wish it were, but it's not.

By the way, I just checked something … I'm not wearing any embarrassing bassing ;-)

3) The Higher the Number of Subscribers, the Better the Advertisers' Result

First of all, the result depends very much on you. Therefore, if you promote a poor quality product, if your landing page is not good, if your ad copy the same, it does not matter the number of subscribers. You will fail anyway.

On the other hand, most of the times a very big number of subscribers hides something: the list is stale, or email addresses are purchased leads (a big No-No), or even the number of subscribers is fake.

Let me quote from the most recent report issued by a reputable email marketing company: " Messages delivered to small and medium lists have far greater open and click rates than messages delivered to lists containing 1000 or more subscribers. and click rates, but mailings to smaller lists may be targeted better, contain more relevant content or have more recent subscribers. "(MailerMailer, Email Marketing Metrics Report issued on May 2009)

This report is not based on beliefs or amateur tiny size tests, but on the analysis of over 300 million messages across 21 industries sent through MailerMailer between July 1st and December 21, 2008.

There are many other ezine advertising myths (such as "Buy only solo ads and top sponsor ads.)") But I did not plan to post a novel here …

Shortcuts to Get Out of Sandbox in Search Engine Optimization SEO

Are there any shortcuts in SEO? Does it really need to take more than 3 months to get out of Google sandbox for new domains? Still there are a lot people arguing if there is a Sandbox. The answer would depend on the definition of what 'sandbox' means. If a 'sandbox' means the un-favorable situation which a new website would rank for competitive keywords, then 'sandbox' really exists.

In my SEO experience, a new website would not rank very well in its first level keywords. How does Google decide what are the first level keywords in a website? Google has a very smart calculation for this. If the keyword phrases are in your title tap, and also in your headline or even in your bold text, you are almost guaranteed Google would find out what your first level keyword phrases are. If you have some valuable links, you would probably rank well in your second level keyword phrases, but not the keywords you most desire. About half month after your first PageRank update, your ranking of your first level keyword phrases would gradually increase. And about another half month, the true value of your ranking positions in all keyword phrases would show. This process would take about 4 months in total. That's right! 3 month to wait for the first PageRank update, another month for graduate rankings increase.

That comes to the question-is there any shortcut to the sandbox situation? Yes, many people have tried, and it works. Go to some auction sites and buy an old domain name, the older the better. You have to be very careful that this old domain you are buying is not a banned site. If the domain has a PageRank which would be safe to buy. If the content of this old domain was doing something near your new website topic would be even better. Then, you 301 redirect the old website to your new website. About 3 weeks later, you are ranking as if you are a trusted old website. If you wonder how to do the 301 redirect, you can search for '301 redirect code', people teach you all that.

3 weeks compare to 4 months in the Sandbox is an amazing deal. If you are still thinking 3 weeks is a little too long, then you may build your website directly in this old domain. The disadvantage is that the old domain name may not be your favor. And the existing backlinks of this old domain may somehow look strange to Google because of the un-relevant contents and anchor text of the link page. You may be thinking-is it that same if I '301 redirect' the old domain to your new website? The backlinks of the old domain is still not relevant. Would it harm my new website? No, because the action of '301 redirect' is made in the old domain. Your new website does not need to do anything with this action. Remember Google in its official page saying that never hurts you!

If you still worry, you might think in this way: imagine if there is a competitor who would like to pull you down from the ranking, then your competitor '301 redirect' a web page with illegal content to your website. Do you think you would really be pull down? If this '301 redirect' would anyhow harm you, a lot of sites would not exist in this moment. '301 redirect' should not harm you anyhow.
